Barbara & Karen explore the many moods of blue in Virtual Styling #309. Blue shows up in spring like it’s been waiting all winter to breathe again!
There’s the soft, airy kind—think pale sky tones that feel almost weightless on flowy dresses or oversized button-downs. It pairs easily with whites and light neutrals, giving off that calm, reset energy that spring is all about.
Denim blue, of course, lives in its own world. It’s the most familiar, but it never really gets boring. In spring, it lightens up—washed jeans, chambray tops, relaxed jackets—and suddenly feels softer and more lived-in. Even mixing different denim shades is okay, and, actually trending!
And then there’s the deeper, moodier blues that don’t disappear just because it’s spring. Navy and inky tones add a kind of quiet elegance, especially in the evening or on cooler days.
Tonight’s Virtual is proof that blue isn’t just one feeling—it’s a whole range, shifting with the moment, the mood, and how you want to style it up.
